In spring 2019, our vineyard began to come back to life when we planted a variety of grape varieties. This careful selection should enrich our soil and transform the landscape into a mosaic of colors and aromas. Each grape variety was selected with the aim of showing the diversity and potential of our vineyard.
For our red grape varieties, the selection was nothing less than outstanding. We chose Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon — each a titan in its own right, known for producing wines of deep complexity and richness. These globally acclaimed varieties were selected for their proven adaptability and potential to thrive in our unique terroir. But our ambition went beyond simply cultivating international fame; we also wanted to honor Mallorca's rich cultural heritage. That's why we introduced Gorgollassa and Callet, valued Mallorcan natives. These local grapes pay homage to the island's winemaking traditions and promise wines that are as authentic as they are exceptional, with Gorgollassa known for its delicate, nuanced aromas and Callet for its lively, expressive character.
The selection of white grapes was also made with equal care and foresight. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were chosen for their universal appeal and versatility, while Viognier was chosen for its aromatic complexity, which is able to produce wines with a lush, opulent profile. But it was the inclusion of Giro Ros, a Majorcan gem, that underscored our commitment to celebrating local diversity. This local white grape is valued for its ability to produce exquisitely balanced wines and offers a unique taste of Mallorca's vinous identity.
Our grape selection combines tradition and innovation on Mallorca's fertile soil and creates a world-class vineyard. This choice promotes a diversity of flavors that reflect local heritage. Each growing vine marks the beginning of an exciting journey and the start of a new chapter in our winemaking history, characterized by the expectation of exceptional wines that highlight our terroir and heritage.
