The 2023 wine year marks a turning point full of challenges and successes for Vinya Tribaneli, our young vineyard in its third harvest year. Despite the difficult climatic conditions that plagued Spain, thanks to our dedicated team and robust farming methods, we succeeded in doubling the harvest compared to 2022 — a result that is impressive in both quantity and quality.
Unexpectedly, a hot and dry spring hit the island, but our vines showed impressive resistance to adverse conditions, unlike in many parts of Spain, where the harvest fell sharply.
The harvest season on Vinya Tribaneli was a race against time and the elements. Thanks to the experienced team from our partner WeinWert and the timely harvest, we were able to harvest the grapes in optimal condition before the extreme weather conditions could affect them. The performance of our autochthonous grape varieties was particularly remarkable, which once again proved that they are ideally adapted to local conditions.
At the beginning of February 2024, we tasted the first wines from the 2023 vintage that were still stored in steel tanks or barriques. The result is promising: lively, harmonious and fruity wines that are convincing in both the basic and premium segments. Despite a short storage period, Cabernet Sauvignon in barriques is already at its best, while Chardonnay in barriques reveals even more depth. Our Majorcan cuvées, enriched by local Callet and Gorgollassa grape varieties from 2023, promise great things. The fresh notes of Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier complete the offer.
Despite the challenges of 2023, Vinya Tribaneli stands for outstanding quality and innovation. We are proud to present wines that express the uniqueness of our terroir and are excited to share them with our customers. The 2023 vintage is vivid proof of the dedication and commitment of our team, which is reflected in every sip of our wines. We cordially invite you to discover the diversity and richness of this exceptional vintage and to enjoy the fruits of our careful work with us.
